The Durham Streets Summer Festival will bring to life the character of the city through a vibrant and energetic selection of outdoor performances. Spread over the course of three days, each day has a different location with unusual entertainment. On Saturday 29th August, Millennium Place and the Market Place will feature comedy treats including Herbie Treehead and acrobatics from Head First Acrobats, coming all the way from Australia.

On Sunday 30th, the Market Place will become the center of awe and admiration as audiences enjoy Rob Roy Collins’ feats of incomprehensible proportions as he wows the crowds with his escapology skills. Plus, the Super Duper demonstrating street circus, acrobats and comedy abounds throughout the day.

Audience participation is the name of the game on the final day at Scar Top, Barnard Castle, as a special and rare performance of the Washington Trapeze is unveiled by the Head First Acrobats.

There’s plenty more on offer throughout the city too; the likes of Bid Buskers, taking place on Elvet and Framwellgate Bridges, ensures an exciting atmosphere for all street goers. The weekend offers a diverse amalgamation of worldwide talent brought to the wonderful picturesque streets of Durham.

Durham Streets Summer Festival takes place across various locations from Saturday 29th until Monday 31st August.
