Australian indie slackers DMA’s are playing KU Bar, Stockton-On-Tees, on Monday 11th July as part of their upcoming UK mini tour. It will be their only visit to the North East until at least next year after a well-received gig at Newcastle’s Cluny in March.

The three-piece guarantee a more relaxed experience than most bands of their genre,

Performing sans drummer, the dual guitarists vie for attention with Tommy O’Dell’s ghostly yet atmospheric vocals, offering a relaxed but no less engaging live performance.

Their debut album Hills End dabbles in a variety of genres. Recent single, Delete, is somewhere between Blur’s To The End and The Verve’s Lucky Man, with a twang of jangle pop; while Your Low features a subtle touch of harmonious psychedelia. Their unpigeonholeable sound is further demonstrated on their choice of label – featuring on trendy New York imprint Mom + Pop, home to the likes of riff-heavy Fidlar, and the UK’s Infectious Records, who boast the ambient The Temper Trap on their roster.

Tickets are rapidly selling so act fast or risk missing them in an intimate surrounding for what could be the last time.
