Continuing in their mission to give Darlington’s music scene the kudos it deserves, music collective Tracks aren’t ones to let a worldwide pandemic slow them down. This week they’ll be kicking off a series of livestreamed performances from local musicians, streamed live from their living room to yours.
Darlo @ Home has been created in partnership with Creative Darlington and Darlington Borough Council and will feature events streamed via the Tracks Facebook page, broadcast from 7pm on Friday nights. Crucially, it’s an initiative which has provided an income for musicians during these testing times.
Kicking off the proceedings on Friday 10th April will be Anna Leigh Stainton, a talented multi-instrumentalist from Barnard Castle who draws influences from the likes of Amy Winehouse, Florence Welch and Adele; on Friday 17th April, regionally-renowned blues rocker Jamie Farrell brings conversational storytelling and bold guitar lines; while on Friday 24th April, Nadedja’s soulful melodies and heartfelt lyrics will entertain and delight.
A special family-friendly event under their BIG Little Gigs banner will also take place on Saturday 11th April, as families are encouraged to join in with a ‘silly song singalong’ from 2pm.
