The second club event is putting some gothic charm into Christmas
Feeling festive? Why not throw some dark alternative styles into the mix? Christmas cheer is overrated anyway. Dark Nation is hosting its second night at The Globe in Newcastle on Saturday 13th December to put some gothic charm into the weeks leading up to Christmas.
The event promises to bring EBM, gothic, post-punk, 80s electro, industrial, steampunk, New Romantic and darkwave tunes all under one roof; having the pleasure of mixing this delectable cocktail of genres are the unholy trinity of DJs Kev and Ghost, alongside newcomer Terror Twin. Expect to hear good doses of Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, The Cramps, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Eagulls, Gary Numan, New Order and Joy Division in possibly the world’s darkest Christmas playlist (rejoice, there’ll definitely be no Wizzard or Slade on the playlist!)
Entry is £5 on the night, making it a relatively cheap night. The good people at the Globe are also offering free drinks promotions on the night to make sure the merry levels are turned up to eleven.
