The fun and vibrancy of a village folk fair (and some of the splendour of the Seven Kingdoms) comes to Stockton for the now-traditional Nouvelle Musique Christmas show at Georgian Theatre on Friday 12th December. Headliners Coco And The Butterfields started off as buskers in Canterbury, before uniting their folk/beatboxing talents and touring the country in a colourful bandwagon. Since then, the five-piece have supported acts as diverse as Bastille, Wheatus, Seasick Steve and King Charles, and performed three slots at Glastonbury this year, along with many other major festivals.

Their last few releases have taken the form of film and TV-inspired tracks, with each member cast as one of the lead characters. Westeros nuts should check out the video for Warriors, one of their most anthemic and successful tracks to date, which has a distinctly Game of Thrones inspired vibe. Their latest release, See The Sun, had each of them take on a superhero persona, with a little help from green screen and spandex.

The band performed an amazing set at Stockton Calling earlier this year, in which they held the audience in the palm of their hand, so things bode well for their festive return to the realm of Teesside.
