After a lot of success in the past few months with packed out gigs in their basement venue, the Head of Steam in Newcastle bring back another trio of bands to showcase their talents.

Taking place on Thursday 30th April, Leeds band Bearfoot Beware will be headlining the show. The post-hardcore band have been touring their debut album, World Owes You Nowt at a number of dates across the UK. Expect ferocious guitars to match their energetic live show.

Their first support band have a reputation for being one of the most innovative and exciting acts in the North East. Shades, who released their second EP Lose Your Chains last month are no strangers to the Head of Steam. Their intricate math-rock sound is still present in their new material, but has been driven into the field of hardcore. More importantly, Shades are a band capable of great things and it’s no doubt their set will be an intriguing watch.

Newcastle band Canyons will kick things off at with their Americana-tinged ’60s style pop. The four-piece have showed an ability to write catchy pop melodies and are expected to release a single in early May.

Bearfoot Beware, Shades and Canyons all play at the Head of Steam, Newcastle on Thursday 30th April.
