Bobby is just a guy with too much love to give, and a burning desire to give it to consensual adult mammals. After all, it’s awkward to find yourself on a one night stand but it’s even more awkward when it’s a one night stand with animals. It’s clear that this is a show in which some boundaries will be crossed.

When a show gets described by Time Out as one of the top 10 weirdest shows at Edinburgh Fringe then you can be pretty certain to experience something rather strange. If you are intrigued and/or appalled, head along to Alphabetti Theatre from Tuesday 8th–Saturday 12th October to see Rob Hayes’ black tragi-comedy about love, acceptance and boundaries.

Never fear though – rather than excuse or defend bestiality, the show – which is performed by Linus Karp – explores the broader aspects of masculinity and mental health. It also looks at the sometimes absurd way in which society treats animals. So, if you fancy a hilarious and disturbing psychological examination of loneliness, then you know where to go.

Awkward Conversations With Animals I’ve Fucked is at Alphabetti Theatre, Newcastle from Tuesday 8th-Saturday 12th October
