Twice winner of ‘Jazz Instrumentalist of the Year’, Arun Ghosh is set to return to the North East as he performs at Middlesbrough Town Hall on 16th February as part of the venue’s Sunday Jazz In The Crypt events.
The British-Asian clarinettist from Bolton fuses jazz, rock, folk and South Asian music to create a unique style that saw him rise to prominence from the jazz venues of Manchester. He is widely regarded as a leading innovator of the modern Indo-Jazz genre, a natural-born improviser and an exciting live performer.
Supporting Ghosh are North-East based ensembles, Archipelago, whose live performances take the audience on a journey through chaos, freedom, darkness and joy, and the Mark Williams Trio, purveyors of a distinct looping style that fuses jazz, rock, blues and metal.
Tickets can be purchased for £12 (plus booking fee) and are available to purchase online.
