The fuzzy math rockers come to Tyneside in support of their latest LP
Fans of fuzzed up math rock will rejoice to hear of Alright The Captain’s return this month, with their new album Contact Fix, released on 2nd February.
Their new record, which was successfully crowd-funded via Kickstarter in just 12 days, sees a clear progression from the band’s debut release SNIB, combining stunning musicianship with an experimental style. The Derby-based trio’s jazz-inflected noise rock has seen comparisons with the likes of Don Caballero, Giraffes? Giraffes! and Slint and they’ve shared the stage with This Will Destroy You, Holy Fuck, Pelican, ASIWYFA and many more. Their heady live show will be taking in Newcastle’s Northumberland Arms on Sunday 15th February. A must-see gig for fans of Maybeshewill, 65daysofstatic and Axes.
