NEWS: 3 Rivers @ Pop Recs, Sunderland

When you were at uni, what exciting things did you get to do? Well, the pinnacle of all things exciting for me was going down the pub after a 5pm lecture (I did English, the morning didn’t exist). We certainly didn’t do anything as cool as putting on a gig; that’s exactly what Barry Hyde, Dean Clark, Fred Badger and Jai Wall are doing as part of their Bachelor of Arts degree and it’s all happening at Pop Recs on Saturday 13th December.

For their intimate little gig at the venue, the foursome are performing solo as well as putting on a few special collaborations. Barry Hyde is promising to play new solo material from his upcoming album. They’re also joined by Teesside singer-songwriter Andi Grainger, who is making a special appearance to make sure that Sunderland, Newcastle and Middlesbrough are properly represented.

All of the proceeds gathered by an end-of-gig collection will go straight back into the pockets of Pop Recs, to ensure that they are able to maintain their record shop as well as attract more performers to the venue.
