We celebrate our 14th birthday with a free to download compilation of tracks by North East artists. Download your copy via our Bandcamp site. We hear more from bigfatbig about their track.

Combining the attitude of The Runways with the pop punk sensibilities of The Subways and the humour of The Front Bottoms, bigfatbig unleash this energetic three-minute blast of brilliant frustration aimed at the all too familiar notion of toxic masculinity.

The follow-up to debut Science, So Bored started out as “a bit of social commentary on a past experience of a one-sided relationship,” says singer Robyn Walker, also of Sunderland’s Picnic. But the song has evolved into more than that: “It’s become an amalgamation of everything I’m tired of dealing with. I think that’s more relatable, considering the reaction we’ve had.”
