Welcome to the first in our Good Grief Spotlight series of interviews with comedians. Good Grief is a night which runs at The Stand, Newcastle bringing the freshest, emerging talent, interesting, inventive acts and big laughs and ahead of each monthly show, they’re going to spotlight some of the funny folk on show with an interview.

First up, ahead of his appearance there on Monday 14th May, it’s the return of rap sensation and member of the Cullercoats Crew, Biscuitz

How did you get started in comedy?
I turned up to what I thought was an open mic rap night. It was actually an open mic comedy night but I didn’t kna that. Anyways, I went on stage and started rapping and everyone started proper creasing. Divint kna what they thought was so funny but anyways I kept going back as one time I saw a dwarf there who looked like the little alien thingy off Mac and Me.

What makes you laugh the most?
Me Uncle Colin’s mate Gippa.

What’s next for you?
Divint kna. This is ganna be my fist gig in 5 years as I’ve been busy doing spy stuff. Probably release a rap album or something. Actually na, I’m ganna see if I can get America to make another Short Circuit film. Aye, I’ll probably do that.
