We find out all we can about the singer-songwriter who releases her debut single Dancing With The Devil on 10th April
Who are you and where are you from?
I am Sam Readman (22) from Gt Ayton, a village in the North-East of England
What is it you do?
I am predominantly a singing teacher at ‘Sam Readman Vocal Coach’ (well that’s what pays the bills) I am also a singer and sing function sets at Weddings, Pubs, Clubs, Parties ect I also sing with a DJ and have performed at various festivals. After graduating from uni last year I decided it was about time I released some of my own music!
How long have you been doing it?
I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember, which is a bit cliche but true. I started teaching at the age of 15 after getting my singing diploma.
What inspires you?
What doesn’t? My main musical influences are people like Florence and the Machine, Tom Grennan, Radiohead and a sprinkle of Adel. My music is also inspired by what’s around me, experiences that I’ve had, my friends have had, anything really.
Tell us about your music.
My debut single, Dancing with the Devil is out on 10/04/21 and I am so excited! The pop-rock song depicts the internal monologue you have when you’re going back to someone you know you shouldn’t (we’ve all been there).
What have you got coming up in the future?
The next single is ready and raring to go, just waiting to be produced so keep your eyes peeled for that to be released!
As for teaching my main passion is choirs and conducting, so I am biting at the bit waiting for Covid restrictions to allow me to start !
Where can people find out more about you?
For all of my music you can find me @sammyreadman on Instagram and @samreadmanmusic on both Facebook and Twitter! And on the 10th of April ‘Dancing with the Devil’ will be available on all major streaming platforms.
For singing lessons you can find me @samreadmanvocalcoach on Facebook!
