Who are you and where are you from?
Hello! We are Newcastle based One Million Motors – or in short OMM! We’ve been called many different things over the last couple of years – One Thousand Motors, Million Dollar Motor, Mansion Millions and please don’t confuse us with the super right wing group – One Million Moms.

What is it you do?
OMM is an alternative punk band that takes inspiration from past generations of punk and fuses them into something fresh, yet familiar.

How long have you been doing it?
We’ve all been playing since our teen years; some of us in punk bands others in acoustic solo acts and ska bands and regrettably…indie bands.  We became a band in 2018 and haven’t looked back since.

What inspires you?
We do what we do because what else is there to do? We can either lay back and let the boot of modern society grind us down – or we can take matters into our own hands and do something exciting and invigorating. We’re in control of our life and we’re going to have a ball.

Tell us about your music.
With going through lockdown, OMM has developed some edges; gotten tougher and more cynical. Executed with drive and a frenetic energy, our songs contain cathartic sing along chorus’; coupled with lyrics of self depreciation and anger.

What have you got coming up in the future?
New music will be out 12th of March, in the form of new single, Poisoned Lungs. Another single release is planned for later this year and pandemic permitting, an EP. We’ve even got a post lockdown headline show booked in on the 23rd of October at Surf Cafe, Tynemouth.

Where can people find out more about you?
The best place to find us is on various social medias – Facebook or on Instagram (@onemillionmotors). Music and merch is available from https://onemillionmotors.bandcamp.com. Let’s  have a party after all this blows over!
