Who are you and where are you from?
I am Luke Royalty from Darlington.

What is it you do?
I write songs and sing a tiny little bit.

How long have you been doing it?
Been doing it since I was 16/17, started in the local legendary band Circus Villains and been loving it ever since.

What inspires you?
I mainly get my inspiration and motivation from friends and artists that you can tell have spent hours perfecting their craft, I’m very lucky to have a lot of talented and wonderful mates.

Tell us about your music.
My music is a blend of pop, hip-hop and soul influences. I usually start by writing the lyrics about things that are playing on my mind and try to get that across in the most genuine and personal way I can. Main inspirations are Mac Miller and Amy Winehouse.

What have you got coming up in the future?
I will be releasing two more singles this year and continuing to work with a number of songwriters and producers. I’m starting to work on my live set with a full band as there’s loads of gigs booked in from August onwards, including 110 Above Festival, Sound City, and headline shows in Liverpool, Birmingham and Manchester.
