Who are you and where are you from?
We’re Diago and we’re from all over the place! A couple of Geordies, a Mackem and a Northumbrian

What is it you do?
We make absolute bops that’ll stick in your head and maybe make you cry a bit too.

How long have you been doing it?
Not all that long actually! We played our first gig in April but we’ve all been in various projects over the years; sometimes with each other, but this is the first time the four of us have all been together.

What inspires you?
To avoid being so cliche; this is how we express ourselves. We always draw from real life experiences and whether that means we’re writing about failed relationships, the trials and tribulations of modern life, going out for beers with the lads or having no idea how to talk to girls (Marcus), we always write from the heart and it’s a cathartic process.

Tell us about your music.
The music we make is massively influenced by our respective upbringings. We were all lucky to have very musical, or music loving, families and so we draw a lot from the stuff we grew up with, or that our parents would listen to.

It’s a little bit of 80s, a little bit of 90s, it’s a little bit of what’s in the charts at the minute. There’s happy tunes, there’s sad tunes, there’s in-your-face guitar solos, multi-part harmonies and modern pop synths all at the same time. We just throw it all together and see what comes out on the other side.

What have you got coming up in the future?
Our second single, You, is out on August 17th on all platforms!

It’s been in the works for a long time in various incarnations from previous projects that some of us have been a part of. It’s a story about a difficult relationship; which I’m sure anyone can relate to, but we put our own twist on it and made it into something more uplifting and anthemic. It’s one that we really hope to have people singing along to in the near future.

We’ll be celebrating by playing a free gig at The Grove in Byker the following day, on Friday 18th August. Blackout The Arcade will be joining us on that show and tickets are absolutely free. Did we mention it’s a free gig?

Then we’re back in the studio at the end of August and hopefully gigging as much as possible ‘cos there’s nothing we love doing more.
