Who are you and where are you from?
Arcade Skies, an independent electronic music producer from Newcastle having always lived in the North East and currently living in Whitley Bay.

What is it you do?
As well as producing my own songs l like to create music videos for the singles on YouTube. Separately, I’m in a band where I play sax; we’ve had a few gigs already in Newcastle, which has been fun.

How long have you been doing it?
I started teaching myself music production in lockdown but have always enjoyed listening to music and playing a range of instruments since I was young such as piano, keyboard & clarinet.

What inspires you?
My cousin has been producing music and been in bands for years so l have learned a lot from him. Also, listening to ‘80s bands has inspired the synth-pop/synthwave elements of some of my songs. Bands like Roxy Music, New Order and Simple Minds have been particularly influential.

Tell us about your music.
I played a set live in Greece last summer at Island Club. Being one of the main clubs in Athens and based on the Riviera it was a definite highlight.

What have you got coming up in the future?
It’s been busy lately as l had a single out at the start of January and have just released a third EP. The EP has a house vibe, ranging from deep house to chilled lounge house folktronica with the saxophone.

Where can people find out more about you?
Arcade Skies – on all the usual socials, music platforms, Bandcamp & good old Google.
