Who are you and where are you from?
My name is AP3. I am originally from a small village in Northumberland called Bellingham, I moved to Newcastle 5 years ago.

What is it you do?
I am a Rapper, Singer, Songwriter & MC.

How long have you been doing it?
I started singing and songwriting at age 12, I then taught myself guitar at the same age. After giving this up at 15 I moved into the Drum & Bass scene and began DJing which became very successful for me. I supported the likes of Bru C, Macky Gee and Hazard. After DJing for a few years I decided to start writing again and found myself as a Drum & Bass MC. This took off for me and over the last 6 years and I have hosted sets for some massive artists such as; Goldie, DJ Phantasy, Nicky Blackmarket, Devilman and more. In the last two years I decided to start to venture out to other genres such as Grime, Drill, Hip Hop and Pop. I started to make a name for myself after dropping a series of freestyles on social media platforms, then releasing my debut single ‘Greatness’ in February.

What inspires you?
I was inspired by the NE Rap scene, I was spending a lot of time with some household names in the NE Scene such as Too Common, 90Bro and many others. This really motivated me to get to these guys’ level and make a name for myself in the rap scene and become respected as not just an MC but as a Rapper and a Lyricist as well.

Tell us about your music.
I have just released my debut single; ‘Greatness’ featuring Too Common & Just B. It is available on all streaming platforms. The video was shot by Nathan Glendinning and is now out on my YouTube Channel. You can also find all the freestyles I previously mentioned on my Facebook and Instagram pages.

What have you got coming up in the future?
My next release is a song I wrote during the first lockdown ‘Lonely’, the date is still yet to be confirmed. ‘Lonely’ is a Lo-Fi Love song and I have been performing it at all of my sets recently and it has always received a warm reception from the crowd. I have a few other songs in the pipeline which I am going to release this year and I hope to release my debut project in 2023.

Where can people find out more about you?
My Spotify, Apple Music, Instagram and TikTok.
