Taking place on Saturday 2nd July, NARC. Fest will once again take over the venues of the Ouseburn Valley to provide an eclectic line-up of live music and DJs for your delectation – all completely free!

As part of our continuing 10th birthday celebrations this year, NARC. Fest is bigger and better than ever, with nine venues taking part.

Here’s the rundown of who’s doing what across the Valley this year:

The Cluny’s main venue will see The Great Northern taking charge of live music, no doubt programming their ever-reliable variations of rock styles; down in Cluny 2, Jazz North East will provide an eclectic programme of jazzy treats.

The Cumberland Arms will welcome the return of The Tea Pad, whose specialities include all manner of country, folk, blues and everything in between

The Tyne Bar’s covered outdoor stage will be home to radgy rock and engaging live performances courtesy of Confusion Is Next

The Free Trade Inn continue to offer a home for quirky and catchy alt. pop, this year programmed by Tiny Lights Recordings

The Tanners Arms stage will welcome back Endless Window, who will programme more intelligent electro-based sounds amongst others

Ernest are among three newbies on the block this year, they’ll be welcoming DJs and live performers, and will be open late for those night owls who want to party until the early hours

The Tower Café will also be open late, they’ll have a mix of reggae and dub sounds for those who want to dance all night long

Little Buildings will take charge of their venue, continuing to program a line-up of diverse sounds that they’re rapidly gaining a solid reputation for

If all that wasn’t enough, we’ve even got our own festival beer, brewed exclusively for us by Box Social Brewing!

During the rest of the weekend, The Ouseburn Festival will be programming a range of family-orientated events celebrating creativity in the area with crafts, games, food, a parade and much more to be announced soon.
