The talented songstress talks us through her year
The last twelve months have had the NARC Magazine pages filled with the best creative talent, so we asked a few of them to be kind enough to share some words on the year coming to a close. Next up, it’s bluesy pop songstress Martha Hill.
So, how was your 2018?
2018 has been amazing! Released my first ever single, had an amazing UK tour… pretty blown away tbh! I’m currently in New Zealand, so it’s ending pretty well as well
What was your best moment?
Definitely supporting Maximo Park and Field Music at Sage Gateshead accompanied by the RNS- unreal!
And your worst moment?
Hmm not sure.. ran away from a fake tsunami in Raglan at 2am the other night (turns out it was a fire alarm haha).
Your favourite band of the year?
TuneYards!
Your favourite song of the year?
Coffee by Sylvan Esso.
Favourite TV of the year?
Jane the Virgin.
Your favourite film?
Bohemian Rhapsody.
Favourite venue of the year?
Spookerkids in the attic of the Westgarth Social Club in Middlesbrough.
What was your favourite gig of the year?
Ahh thats so hard, there’s been so many amazing shows! If I had to name one, it would probably be at Cobalt Studios in Newcastle! You just canny beat a home show!
And finally, what has 2019 got in store for you?
Nothing set in stone as of yet.. some releases, gigs, festivals… the usual! Keep your eyes peeled on my social media and you’ll be the first to know.
