Reliably informed

Rockers Mosaic Sun have just released new single Blood Red Lips. We got to know the five-piece a little better…

So, tell us a bit about yourself and what you do?
We are mostly in education one way or another.

What’s the first record you ever bought?
The first records bought were Californiaction and Slippery When Wet.

What’s your guilty pleasure musically?
Wham has to go down as a guilty pleasure- club tropicana drinks are freeee.

Favourite film of all time?
Favourite film of all time- wow- how tough is that? True Romance, yep.

If you could recommend one TV series to binge watch, what would it be?
Please binge watch So This Is Us- it will feed empty places that you did not know were hungry. No, really, It successfully manages to paint a beautiful (yes there is pain in beauty, there can’t be beauty without ugliness, etc.) canvas of the human condition by spreading it out over parallel timelines.

Your favourite book?
Favourite book is The Periodic Table by Primo Levi. If you can get over the title you are in for a captivating read. A bit like our binge watch suggestion, once hooked, it is beautiful and essential in of itself.

Who or what makes you laugh the most?
Seinfeld makes us laugh the most.

Who or what makes you sad?
We are all a bit melancholic in truth but some of us are a bit better at pretending we aren’t. The doorway to sadness is always a few steps away and what pushes us through is very different. Musically speaking, we do get bummed out if the cogs of progress are held up. Adaggio in G minor sweeps in…but never for too long. Seeing homeless people in 2018 should make everyone sad.

If you had super power, what would it be?
If we had super powers it would be to be able to time travel, without consequences.

And finally, you get to play a board game with any three famous people from history, who do you choose and what’s the board game?
The three people would be Prince, David Bowie and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. We would get to see how devious they could be playing ‘Sheriff of Nottingham’.
