We get to know the singer songwriter a little better
Having crafted some beautifully thoughtful and intelligent piano-driven pop tracks, singer songwriter IMOGEN is set to showcase those haunting songs live with a show at the Cluny 2 on Friday 15th March. Before that show, we caught up with the artist to find out a little bit more about her…

What are your plans for 2019?
I’m absolutely thrilled to have a band now. It’s a pretty exciting lineup of brass, synth, piano and drums and they’re all incredible musicians. It’s definitely taken the live show up a notch and I’m over the moon to be bringing them back home. To be honest, we’re three Geordies and a Glaswegian so I never feel too far away.
Cluny 2 is where I had my first ever solo gig as a bairn so it feels poignant to be doing the first full band home show there. I’ll try not to get too emosh but we’ve got something pretty special planned…
We also just landed some sweet PRS Foundation funding for new sounds and a tour later in the year so keep your eyes n ears a peeled, lots of exciting stuff to come!
What are you listening to right now?
Most of my friends are musicians releasing wicked music so my heavy rotation is full of geordies and ex-goldsmiths students, which is class. Have to pinch myself sometimes I’m surrounded by that much talent. I’ve also made a little listening party on Spotify full of artists and pieces that heavily influenced the EP so head on over to be wooed by Sampha and Perfume Genius. You can listen to the playlist here.
