We celebrate 2023’s event with a series of features from artists that are set to perform
Award-winning North-East arts organisation GemArts are a nationally recognised leader in the South Asian and diversity arts sector, who create and programme events featuring regional, national and international artists across all art forms.
One of those events is the award-winning Masala Festival, which has become a highlight in the region’s cultural calendar since its launch in 2016. For those not in the know, it’s a weeklong festival (taking place 17th-23rd July) that celebrates the best of South Asian Arts and Culture via performances, exhibitions, events, workshops, pop ups and demonstrations.
