North-East producer, DJ and podcaster Shifty Nights drops their Summer Anthem, Get Loose.

This vibrant house banger originally started out with a much quicker BPM, but after being inspired by The Sung at Beat-Herder festival the track evolved to its current, dance-inducing form.

Here, Shifty Nights tells us what their perfect gig would look likeā€¦

My dream would be to have a festival at Beamish Museum which is a world-famous open-air museum which brings the history of North East England to life at its 1820s Pockerley, 1900s Town, 1900s Pit Village, 1940s Farm, 1950s Town, fancy dress/traditional dress of the time would be compulsory and it would be called Dance with the Past Festival. The festival would be two days with two stages. Friday would be Rock and Indie Day and The Libertines would headline the main stage as they are my favourite band and I love Pete, support would come from Foals who are an amazing live band, likewise, The Strokes,  Pulp, Jamie T and Beans on Toast who would complete the bill on the main stage, Over to stage 2 which is a new music stage, I host an online radio show with 2 of my friends called Running With Believers and we like to champion new bands and artists, Headlining would be Bob Vylan (not that new any more but they would make a great headline act) support would be Hak Baker who is a living legend, Grim17 who has a sound I just can’t put my finger on but I really like, Faye Fantarrow who is an artist from Sunderland with a fantastic voice and style, Park View who are really new and up and coming band from Newcastle.

Day two is the dance music day so Headlining would have to be The Chemical Brothers If you’ve not seen these live then it should be top of your priority list, the tunes and the visuals are second to none, and support would come from the one and only Prodigy a ferocious live act with any amount of tunes, Soulwax would be before them as they bring the filth guitar, Orbital and Leftfield would be before them for as they are classic rave act and I’d have the Dub Pistols opening as they are a great festival band. Stage 2 would be taken over by the best nightclub/culture in the North East World Headquarters and that would be headlined by: Gardna who I saw recently at a festival he was rocking and you could see how much he enjoys performing, support comes from Shifty Nights (I had to include myself) Special Request, Sherelle, Becky Woodcock, Tom Caulker and  Zico MC. A festival stands out by its “other” activities so I’d have the museum attractions still open so people can go and learn a new skill in the school or take a trip to the dentist 1920s style.

Tell me that doesn’t sound like a dream show.
