Alphabetti Theatre, Newcastle and Woven Nest present Love From, a brand new, festive, family-friendly, COVID-19 safe, immersive performance for one household/support bubble at a time, created by Alphabetti’s award-winning Artistic/Executive Director Ali Pritchard. It’s about saving Christmas, features a villain who only eats raw turnips and rat stew and was made in collaboration with the local community courtesy of a series of workshops from production partner Woven Nest. It runs from the 8th to 24th December and tickets can be purchased via the Alphabetti website

We received (by post) five top tips for letter writing from Posty, Wosty and Osty from the Nice & Toasty Delivery Service, who feature in the play.

  1. Think about who you want to send some love too this Christmas – maybe someone who could do with some cheering up, is feeling lonely or who you haven’t seen in a really long time!
  2. Get your letter writing materials at the ready – paper, pen, an envelope, and a stamp.
  3. You could start with what you miss about them, and then maybe an idea for what you can do when you see each other again.
  4. Maybe try drawing a picture – could you try drawing them? Or maybe you could draw their favourite thing. If you aren’t much of a drawer try writing a joke to make them laugh.
  5. Seal the envelope, write the address, and attach the stamp – you are ready to send! All you have to do now is pop it in the post box!
