Fleetwood Mac – Fleetwood Mac
Musically and vocally, Fleetwood Mac’s mid-70s DNA is all over ‘Eyes On You’. As fans of the earlier formation with Peter Green, we wanted to blend the sounds of the bluesy guitars and the dry crispy drum tones and electric keys. Their 1975 self-titled record is one of our favourites and always overlooked by Rumours, which is also a fantastic album.

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young – Deja Vu
Deja Vu, a record we’ve played countless times over the years, we listened to a lot whilst in and out the studio. We got to see Graham Nash at The Glasshouse around the time we were making Eyes On You and it was a real special experience. That whole month of writing and recording felt like we were living in our favourite era. We want to take our listeners back to that time. The guitar tone on ‘Woodstock’ was a big influence.

The Mamas and The Papas – Deliver
‘Eyes On You’ is filled with reverberated harmonies and The Mamas and The Papas conquered that sound in the 60’s. The warmness of the vocals on their albums makes it so easy to wear their records out by playing it so much. Deliver has a personal favourite of ours, Dedicated To The One I Love. Vocally, they impacted us a lot when recording the latest single.

Emmylou Harris – Pieces Of The Sky
Emmylou Harris is a newfound love for us both. We picked up Pieces Of The Sky in a local record store and instantly adored it. All of her records are heavily country but this one touches upon folky sounds and insanely good songwriting and musicianship. A very underrated voice from that era and one of our favourites.

Paul McCartney –  Ram
We chose this record as a constant reminder we should never be afraid to get creative and experiment. For me, (Billy) this is my favourite McCartney record. It got a lot of bad press when it first came out in 1971 but now it’s a classic album. Elizabeth bought me his book, The Lyrics, last Christmas and I live by it like the Bible.
