Stephen Oliver discovers an album filled with energy and vitality

I love an album that has energy and vitality. On You Me At Six’s new release, each track will fit in well into a live set, with the audience singing along. Tracks such as Beautiful Way leap out of the speaker as a full frontal assault and scream that it is an anthem that needs to be played loud in a club.
Whilst this is definitely a rock record, producer Dan Austin has clearly had an ear on the bottom end of the sound. So whilst the heavy sound bludgeons its way through your soul, you suspect the impact of some of the loops have been lost in the mix.
This may be their seventh album but it represents a band who still have plenty to say.
