New wave rocker Wreckless Eric returns with his first solo album in over a decade. AmERICa is borne out of his love for the country itself, and was recorded in various rooms of his New York apartment. Several Shades of Green communicates a wonderfully intergalactic-blended-with-country vibe, and Eric’s trademark croon breaks through the high-pitched, swirly keyboard and harmonic choir. The experimental hints of electro are also featured on tracks such as Space Age and Transitory Thing.
Expect the usual drones of scrawny guitar, impulsive bursts of banjo, piano and thumping drum and bass alongside Eric’s honest anecdotes of new wave reality; it’s guaranteed the decade-long wait will satisfy those in need of some beautifully peculiar feel good ruckus.
