If good things take time, it makes sense that Wallflower’s debut full length is this impressive. Teach Yourself To Swim is two years in the making, and the South London group clearly haven’t scrimped on anything. They’ve achieved a delectably rich, full rock sound which should be beyond their years.

The dulcet grunge tones of Blood And Stone have plenty of emotion, even if it’s a saxophone solo away from a jazz ballad. Recent single Hungry Eyes clearly let some emotions out: its relentless rock zeal begs for repeated listening. If a whole new album wasn’t enough, Wallflower have taken the lockdown as an opportunity to record some charity covers. It seems that now they’ve gotten started, they don’t wanna slow down anytime soon.
