A mysterious journey to the dark side with lo-fi drone rock survivors and revivors The Telescopes. Their sixteenth studio album was first recorded back in 2013 but only recently excavated and revived from a crashed hard drive.

Seven smouldering slow-burn psychedelic guitar melodies have emerged into the half-light. They crackle and sizzle around the whispered vocals of main man Stephen Lawrie. It is an intoxicating work. Opening with Vanishing Lines, whose words retain their secrets as they vanish within a maelstrom of guitars. Each song builds to an understated but masterly chorus. Riff and repetition. Riff and repetition. Is it sinister but somehow soothing? Majestically melancholic. Shoe-graze this fuzzy timeless masterpiece.
