It was in the spring when we last heard of The Psychedelic Furs as The Strokes sampled The Ghost In You, from back in 1984, on Eternal Summer. Now it’s time to put the Furs at the forefront as they release their first studio album in nearly three decades.

It obviously has a more mature feel, but still comes across with an 80s undertone that manages not to be dated. There are plenty of Arena-worthy guitar solos and their signature brass; it’s masterful as you would expect. With tracks The Boy Who Invented Rock & Roll using Butler’s clear speaking style of singing to the melting pot of styles for Come All Ye Faithful, it’s odd in the most wonderful of ways.
