When King Blues returned with Off With Their Heads it could have been their Killing In The name Of… provided they followed it with an album of comparable bile and bite. Unfortunately, on The Gospel Truth, after some further personnel changes, the lukewarm pseudo-political grand-standing of New Gods and faux Billy Bragg of The Truth Comes Out are a real disappointment.

Not Another Love Song is just beefed up Jamie T and oh, how I wanted Bullingdon Boys to be the vile take down the title demands. Even the gospel tinged ballad Nike Town fails to be the capitalist side-swipe it should have been and elsewhere it’s basically just a break up album. Maybe I was expecting way too much.
