In the same vein as Choir!Choir!Choir!, where the general public gather re-creating music with the help of pros in North America, this primarily Bristol based community shindig do the same thing over here, huddling together as a pro-am orchestra/choir.

This is The Fantasy Orchestra’s debut album and it’s far from sounding amateurish, with a heady mixture of new age choral, progressive age jazz with a seemingly haphazard acoustic Stereolab-like rhythmic inflection. There are tunes here that you will know and stand out tracks for me were the 2 Hendrix covers Third Stone From The Sun and One Rainy Wish, as well as the Richard Dawson collaboration on Final Moments of the Universe, all in an uplifting joy to listen to.
