Released: 07.04.17

The latest in a long line of dream pop bands in recent years, the LA-based Tashaki Miyaki have made a record that is anything but shoegazing material.  The Dream is full of instant, lush pop melodies like the Kurt Cobain-referencing Girls On TV or Keep Me In Mind, the perfect song for a summer of falling in love.

This is an album soaked in Californian sunshine but with enough dark lyrical clouds to retain an edge and sense of mystery.  Things slow down with the mournful longing of Anyone But You and the beautiful ballad Get it Right but these still retain the atmospherics whilst mixing up the fuzz guitar with gentle acoustics.  The first great record of the summer.
