SRSQ (pronounced seer-skew) is the moniker of singer and musician Kennedy Ashlyn. In her second album release Kennedy shows her intention to use huge soundscapes to create shoegazing melodic dynamics. Her beautiful voice and vocal range have a haunting feeling over the electronic ebbs and flows of the music. It is clear why she describes her music as ‘griefwave’ – though that might be somewhat harsh given the beauty contained within these tracks. Finishing the package are the fills of guitar and crisp percussion.

This is an album that takes the listener on a personal journey. There is a vulnerable yet redemptive feel to the songs  Fortunately the set finishes with the upbeat sounding Someday I Will Bask In The Sun.
