Rozi Plain is an industrious musician. When she’s not playing bass for long-time friend and kindred-spirit Kate Stables (This Is The Kit) she busies herself making wondrous folky jazz music under her own name.

What A Boost is a shimmering and other worldly collection of songs; songs you feel have been meticulously crafted as opposed to those which come fully formed in the night. This process of reflection and refinement has produced an album which gradually reveals itself – a new layer or instrument coming to the fore with each listen and all tied together with Rozi’s unmistakable multi-tracked vocals. What A Boost is experimental without being obtuse, rich and rewarding if you give it the time it absolutely deserves.
