Released: 21.02.20

This is Peggy Sue’s first album in four years, and real welcome return it is. It’s a record which takes in a plethora of wonderful influences, and produces something truly exceptional. There is an inherent longing that runs through I Wanna Be Your Girl, the likes of In Dreams and Validate Me craving a reciprocation of feelings from someone. Even in tracks like Better Days there is a more upbeat feel but the underlying theme is retained.

All of the tracks are equally beautiful, with the more upbeat numbers sounding not dissimilar to Veronica Falls. While a lot of the record is reminiscent of the wonderful Chastity Belt. This is a truly heartfelt and exquisite record from the duo.
