On the surface there appears to be nothing difficult about this second album. Yet, Pale Blue Eyes have bared their souls, paying their respects before moving on up. Following family bereavement the three-piece shifted ground geographically, emotionally and musically from their Devon home.

The music has been an escape and salvation from grief. An alternative sound already owing much to late 20th Century indie has been augmented with a sublime Sheffield-ism of synths and a deep dive into goth guitar wig outs. Cloud bursting with magical pop melodies, This House ripples and drives through the gears before the total immersion in alt. pop dreamscapes of the final tracks. This album grooves and inspires.
