Long-time Warp Records stalwart, artist and musician Mira Calix has assembled an elaborate homage to the art of collage in both sound and vision, where each construction is manufactured according to artists such as Matisse, Hannah Wilke and Hannah Höch. She re-imagines her own scores and previous recordings as fragmented new beings, stretching beyond what they were originally.

Snippets of speech, strong female voices, activism, adult, dadaist, futurist, modernist, conscious Avant Garde-absurdism, rhythmic, political, displaced, globally informed. This album is a broken mirror pieced meticulously back together, where recognition is in bits of the reflection and yet other aspects that you didn’t know of before are revealed and bring a new awareness, meaning and understanding to our present experience.
