The first signing to Idles’ Balley Records, Lice are a force to be reckoned with. This record collects together two very different EPs: the first is relatively calm and considered with the focus mainly on the lyrics, particularly on Love Your Island which provides an exceptionally accurate damming description of the UK right now.

The second EP is equally breathtaking but this time it’s fast-paced angst-filled punk tracks, with the Gentleman’s Magazine not dissimilar to a rousing Oh Sees track. Their power and anger is amply displayed throughout this record though, none more so than closing track Saccharine, despite its subdued and tense opening it erupts into a frenetic crescendo perfectly summing up It All Worked Out Great.
