A departure from his blusterous electric sound, a beautiful acoustic record is born, augmented by myriad of equally elegant instruments. The sweet softness of the acoustic instruments gives the record delicate warmth, allowing Vile’s introverted sad lyrics to shine. The record traverses a variety of genres from the darkest singer-songwriter tones of All In A Daze Work, to the incomprehensible and wonderfully out there Lost My Head There.

There’s an effortless brilliance that runs throughout, despite the lack of power brought about by an injection of electricity. Vile achieves so much with so little, the all-encompassing sound of Stand Inside being the most breathtaking. His masterful song writing compounds all of which as he lays bare his heart for all.
