Out on a limited cassette via the Brighton-based Nite Hive label, here Karen Vogt reflects on the grief she feels after her beloved cat passed away and how those darker emotions played around with her psyche, persistently not letting go.

Almost as an act of catharsis, these delicate drones of angelic high-toned voices are looped and sonically layered, less enveloping as a comfort blanket and more lightening as a buoyancy aid lifting her free from the melancholic depths. We are set adrift in the vastness; occasionally we drift in close to become soaringly intimate as in the gorgeous Weighted, which ultimately pulses intensely in electronic repetition, releasing us to float away in siren-propelled echoes, not many tears here.
