English electronic producer and songwriter Gold Panda returns on Berlin-based record label City Slang with his forthcoming album The Work. Having released two superb singles already, including the recently released The Dream being accompanied by a video directed by Rob Brandon, the album maintains that same level of consistency.

Having shot to prominence around 2013, when the likes of George Fitzgerald were ushering in a new era of British, synth-imbued electronica, that sort of influence is relevant throughout. It’s a bit more downtempo than the other albums of a similar oeuvre, but that’s no bad thing. The likes of lead single I’ve Felt Better can stack up against the best of the genre.
