A belting second album from one of the foremost ultrasonic post-punk bands operating at the moment, bathed in visceral noise and crackling electricity. This is a darker reflective examination than their outwardly political earsplitting debut, it’s an internal struggle with conflicted emotions, familial tensions and pandemic-induced dissection all sewn back together in a mergence of burning synth and dissonant feedback.

Watch With Mother is a particularly paranoiac stomp of broken signal memories statically broadcast darkened and distorted, while the Swallowed Pill blisters and explodes blowing their sanguine insides out, and album closer Lacking Bite is a modern day Operator’s Manual. in total this is a vital album and further bolsters Girls In Synthesis as officially kicking some serious bricks.
