The tumultuous cacophony building from the opening title track would under normal circumstances be an album closer, but here it’s a welcome portent of the epic nature of this collection of rousing songs ringing with hope and facing up to a disparaging universal nihilism from Friko.

Crashing Through swaggers, trembling, its wall of sound bursting with words and emotions. It’s followed by the delicate For Ella, falling from exalted heavens and crashing to earth with an ethereal realness to the vocals and a sinister lurking undertone which begets a thing of genuine beauty. As debuts go this is up there in the heady heights, as is their live show which by all accounts is a joyous rollercoaster full of noise and frenzied emotional contemplation.
