Reliably informed

Released: 05.07.19

The almost whispering confessional opener Last Time lulls the listener into a false sense of calm before the title track kicks in with its catchy guitar hook. Fangclub’s Vulture Culture is a perfect accompaniment to an evening playing on the games console. The buzzing guitars and catchy hooks reminded me of the promise The Rasmus had when their opening single hit the airways.

Some of the topics covered are hard hitting: violence, mental illness and addiction coupled with love and some sentimentality proliferates the 11 tracks. Once the dark, brooding closing track Slow had finished radiating menacingly out of the speakers I wanted to play it again. The energetic urgency from the Dublin three-piece has created a very likeable set of songs.
