This record is steeped in nostalgia and firmly displays its influences, from instant pop punk riffs to indie rock, a dose of grunge and some post-punk. Dude York have created something genuinely brilliant, the lyrics have an element of reminiscence too, with the band firmly focussed on all aspects of adolescent relationships.

Should’ve provides the aforementioned post-punk facet to Falling, but also sees the band lamenting on chances they missed out on, while Unexpected is about that partner who comes into your life when you least expect it, and the title track is all about those joyous feelings that come with a new relationship. It’s a roller coaster of emotions set to the perfect old school style soundtrack!
