Following the release of the band’s debut single Succubus, the noisy Brightonian rapscallions have lifted the cloche on their new EP, providing a further amuse bouche to those still hankering for more. Containing four songs, Young & Numb spares no time for unnecessary formalities, and it serves its purpose with real panache.

Scratchy guitar riffs, chunky distorted basslines and pounding drums all work splendidly together to create a glorious melee of noise, sounding akin to the resulting noise of throwing Nirvana’s Bleach into an industrial blender with a pinch of Britpop and half a cup of Jack White. It’s edgy, it’s noisy and it’s exciting and it leaves enough of a deliciously lingering taste to give fans the requisite impetus to return for more.
