Ticket To Fame is a collaboration between Kate NV, a Russian electronic artist who has several great solo records to her name, and Angel Deradoorian of Dirty Projectors.

The record is as irreverent as you might expect from these two minds; playful and full of life, straddling the line between poignancy and humour beautifully. Lead single Destiny shares sensibilities with Talking Heads, and Ode To Boy, with its tongue–in-cheek Beethoven references, recalls the less eccentric end of PC Music’s output. Only Potato Tomato grates in its excessive silliness, but to think that somewhat defeats the object; Decisive Pink’s record is a celebration of fun, music and two unique minds, and this is something to be truly celebrated.
