The long awaited follow up to their 2017 album, Chastity Belt are back with an album that is much more adept. It has a much richer sound, whilst retaining their signature style, their brand of hazy dream pop is now augmented with strings and trumpet. This richness permeates throughout this self-titled record, perfectly complementing the delicate harmonies that run throughout.

Both It Takes Time and Split are where this album really comes into its own, there is a passion that emanates through these tracks. However, most of the tracks are often accompanied by a sombre tone, which is particularly prevalent in the lyrics of Half-Hearted and Effort. This is a record steeped in quality, Chastity Belts finest to date.
